Last week I was honoured to show Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, around the Degree 53 office.
The Prince was attending his Pitch@Palace event, which was being hosted at The Sharp Project, where our Manchester office is based.
Pitch@Palace is the Prince’s business accelerator program designed to support Entrepreneurs growing start-up businesses by giving them access to potential supporters including CEOs, Angels, Mentors, and key Business Partners.
After the event, the Prince popped into Degree 53 where I took the opportunity to show him the office and explain to him what we do. We were on the final day of a Design Sprint, in the middle of some user testing, which the Prince sat and watched. He came across as very knowledgeable in the area of digital and we were all very intrigued to hear his story about spending the day with Jony Ive at Apple’s design studio.
I’m a royal fanatic so it was fantastic to meet another member of our royal family, after I met the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh last year.
